North Pines was my childhood campground. Was extremely happy to have gotten reservations through the early registration lottery. Brought back so many great memories!! In my opinion, no other campgrounds compare.

Our group hiked Vernal and Nevada falls, floated the river and visited glacier point! Highly recommend

Great location. Nice view of Washington Column and arched formations on the rock wall. Some shade most of the day until early to mid afternoon. A walk to the northward bathroom yields a great view of Half Dome, to the eastward bathroom and you are right across from an entry area on the Merced. No access to river directly across from campsite - need to walk about 100 feet for access. Originally wanted a site closer to the river, but this ended up being a spot I’d come back to due to it being on a corner and having a good amount of space between it and other sites. Slight slope across most of the site, only truly flat spot was right near the road, we pitched tent near a tree behind the parking spot to keep it in shade most of the day.

We love this campground and we loved our site (504), right next to the water. Good amount of shade and a pretty spacious spot.
The area next to this site is a little thoroughfare to the water for tubing and such, so just be aware there are people walking next to the site throughout the day.

Stayed at the backpackers camp near North Pines campground. The sites were great. My group of 5 fit 3 tents at site #3 without any issues. Pit toilets were very clean and conveniently located. Will definitely take advantage of this campground for future backpacking trips.

Our visit to Yosemite was amazing. We able to share this beautiful park with our five grandchildren. We had a wonderful time going to glacier point and Mariposa Grove. The grandchildren were able to become youth Rangers and visited happy aisle and learned so much about Yosemite.

We had the best week in Yosemite National Park. We were overjoyed when we were able to book a site in the North Pines Campground through the lottery. The campground is close to everything. We biked on all of the trails; ate at Curry Village; and hiked. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The rangers/camp hosts were very helpful; they enforced the rules; and drove around at night to check on things. We stayed in site #323. We have a 35 foot Fifth Wheel and a F-450 crew cab Ford truck. We were able to fit both, but it was a tight squeeze. We had 2 other sites very close to us, but it was totally fine. The other campers were very friendly and quiet. We were just steps away from the river. The bathroom was also close (perfect proximity) for convenience. The site is completely shaded, which was nice, but we were unable to use our solar. There was one open spot for our Starlink. It worked okay, but there were a lot of obstructions. Campground gets smoky in the evening, due to the campfires. We are hoping we can get this same spot next year, because it was perfect for our needs.

The campground is crowded but well managed, and the hosts were welcoming and helpful!

We had an excellent shaded campsite big enough for our two tents. #123. All of our encounters with hosts and rangers were very positive.
