Great campground with really easy access to all the sites and activities in the valley. Some of the roads and sites in the campground are pretty tight, but site 109 was very nicely spaced and had a ton of room between the parking pad and the creek to spread out. We were in a 25 foot camper; we got into the site with very little issue, and had room for both the camper and our tow vehicle on the parking pad. If you have slide outs, just know that there are some trees that may prove problematic. The site also provides good sun exposure for solar charging.
We rode our bikes pretty much everywhere we wanted to go in the valley, and if it was too far, like El Capitan Meadow, we took the shuttle. Definitely beats driving on the confusing roads with all the traffic and trying to find parking. My kids are already planning a return trip, and we would definitely stay in the same campground again!

This campsite was small. Not enough room for a tent but good for a motorhome or trailer. It is very close to two of the surrounding campsites. There is nice shade in the morning to noon. Shade in the late afternoon.

North Pines is by far one of the great campgrounds around and has incredible views of Half Dome and the Arches. Hard to get a spot but worth it!

Our check-in was quick and easy. The campground was in good condition. Bathrooms were clean (as well as can be expected), and neighbors were relatively courteous of quiet hours. You just can't beat staying in the valley when visiting Yosemite. We also loved having the Merced River right next to us for quick dips, even though the water was still cold! We ended up leaving a day early and were surprised to see we were refunded for the extra day. Shout-out to the rangers and anyone who works in the park, we must continue to support them in the face of increasing hostility from those in power.

Nice campsite near the river. Just a weird set up with the picnic table being behind the other campsite.

We parked a 30 ft RV in this spot. Was able to hang over the parking barrier a couple feet since our RV had enough clearance. Campsites are a little cramped next to each other but it was fine.

Charge card reader didn’t work. The ranger staff would not definitively say if the campground would open. Nobody knew were the backpacker’s campground was. It was at best a circus.

Lovely campground. Packed full of visitors but people respected the 10pm quiet hours on most of the days we were there (not Saturday). Bathrooms are multi-stall, non-private sinks/mirrors, flush toilets. Good size metal bear box - ours was in the sun, so everything meltable melted (e.g. sunblock sticks).
