The #306 site was clean and a little bit isolated. The neighboring site on one side is RV and the other side is overgrown grass. I think we saw a mouse running around in the grass :) The bathroom never felt crowded as there are a few volunteer RV sites in that area.
However, the big downside is that there is absolutely no shade and no trees to hang your hammock. So, make sure you carry your pop-up canopy with you for protection from sun.

The campsite was really crowded, noisy and the campsites were really close to each other.

We had a wonderful week in Yosemite Valley. North Pines Campground is wonderful with spectacular views of Half Dome and the Washington Column. We had site 320 which was a very crowded site. You are super close to your neighbors and fire pits were less than 10 feet from each other. We appreciated the efforts of smoke control by limiting campfire times but the smoke was heavy during permitted times. That being said, nothing beats being on the valley floor in this amazing National Park!

Well located campground. Shuttle stop close. Clean restrooms and water fills. Is now our favorite campground. A special shoutout to the hosts- Christine and Darren- so helpful in getting into our site and answering questions. Even when Darren got after us for leaving stuff out of the bear box, he did it politely and informed us of details we didn’t know. Also host Lance was very friendly. Sadly we miss the various Ranger programs- was such a plus in visiting Yosemite. Am afraid the wonderful film is so hidden that most visitors are missing it. Should be posters in Welcome center advertising this excellent presentation of Yosemite. Hope Yosemite gets the funding it needs. Also please keep lottery for north pines- only way I could get a site. Unable prior to lottery. Always full when I tried at normal booking times

Site 213 is great with plenty of shade. Short distance from river access and not too close to the restroom. We will be coming back to North Pines!
