North Pines Campground

Quiet, beautiful, great views of Half Dome, right on the river.

Great time and Yosemite forever one of my favorite places to visit.

Loved the fact that we were able to pull right into our site and setup camp. The sites are super close to each other, but behind your site your space opens up and you have more room around the firepit and picnic table. The bathrooms were in close proximity, that was a plus. We hiked Yosemite Falls up to Eagle Peak. It was beautiful but a hard hike. Had a wonderful time, the only way to stay in Yosemite is to camp in the Valley!

Would camp here again. Close to bathrooms and river. Neighbors on all sides so no privacy but that was okay.

We had beautiful weather during our week at North Pines campground. Our restroom was well maintained and everyone abided by the rules for noise and fires. We enjoyed the valley hikes and the bike riding. We did go to Glacier Point to hike the Panorama Trail and were shocked at the horrific condition of only 2 bathrooms available... absolutely disgusting! The construction on hwy 41 into the valley was a time delay obstacle but roads need to repaired. The closure of the John Muir Trail between Nevada falls and Vernal falls was frustrating because we had to come down the extremely rocky billy goat trail. After hiking from Glacier Point my exhuastion made it very difficult. Loved our camping spot because our view was not obstructed and half-dome was the first thing we saw when exiting our camper. Absolutely gorgeous!!!

Excellent campsite with great views. The newbies are pretty close and they do make it weird by staring straight at you just the way that the campsite faces the nice view. So everyone is just looking towards you. It’s a little weird. Overall campsite was worth it. Bathrooms are clean. Nothing like staying inside the park. It’s just beautiful.

Perfect location, great sites for RVs, good facility to dump and refill water.
Rangers were welcoming and informative. Great access to Curry Village and the Yosemite valley shuttle system so we didn’t need to use the RV to get around the valley.

It was too noisy. All other National Park campgrounds we have been to were quiet before 10 PM. This one was very noisy all night. It wasn’t just 1 or 2 groups. It was a lot of people and dogs most of both nights we were there.

The campsite was beautiful with a view of Half Dome. There are no trees on this site. It is a relatively short site. Our trailer is 27’ and it barely fit with the truck crossways in front. It’s a beautiful campground and we enjoyed it. It’s worth the trouble of the lottery!
