Been coming to Wawona for the past 40 yrs with my family as a child and now with children of my own. This place will always hold a special place in my heart. When anyone ever ask me of any places to try to camp, this place is always my first recommendation.

Our campsite was perfect. We stayed in the middle section B. It was quiet and family friendly. We found a great swimming area close by. Perfect location if you want to be in the park, but get away from the crowds.

The hosts are nice and the space is wide and flat. About 1 hour drive from Yosemite Valley, not too bad!

Wawona is interesting and a great place to acclimate for higher elevations. But, I do miss Tom Bopp and the hotel.

Everything was clean and everyone was helpful. The bear box cooked and melted all our food even inside the cooler. Had to use all our shade covers to protect the food from heat not bears!

Great campground! Very quiet and beside a river. We were able to have a fire in the ring nightly and the sky was so dark we could see the Milky Way. There is a general store within a mile.

I love camping in Wawona campground, it’s my happy place, usually I booked a few camping trips to Yosemite in the summer every year, the August trip is the one I can get to the river by the campground.
