I love this campground. It's right inside the park but you can get to Yosemite Valley in 20 to 30 minutes. There is also a small market 6 miles away. The river is through camp ground so we could hear the water laying in our tent. Clean bathrooms too.

Beautiful campground, close to one of the forks of the Merced River. Great to stay here if your goal is to explore the Yosemite backcountry via the Wawona area. Some campsites can be hit and miss: we had campsite #96 but unfortunately it did not have adequate shade due to trees that had been cut down at one point in time.

The campground is in an excellent location along the river. The facilities could use some renovations though.

The parking area is small and shared, be sure to check your vehicle length and hope for the best. Campsites are rather tight together. Beautiful down by the river!
