It was great except it's so smoggy, even without fires. We had a 26 foot trailer with a short bed crew cab truck and were able to fit fine although it did take a bit of manuevering to get the trailer in place. We were next to the trash containers and pretty sure heard a bear trying to open it in the middle of the night. We hiked in the Mariposa Grove which was awesome and drove to Yosemite Village for a tram tour, lunch and a look at the Yosemite Falls. Would have loved to gone to Glacier Point but didn't want to drive, only had two days, and the shuttle wasn't running.

Il n'y avait personne quand nous sommes arrivés vers 19H et les indications n'étaient pas claires. Camping très proche de la route. Emplacements petits.

I love this place. I have a “Loop B #44” tattoo because I’ve been coming here for about 15 years and it means so much to me. What a beautiful and well kept place. Yosemite and Wawona campground are the best there is!

Stayed at two different sites in Loop C:
- #087 car and tent site
- #003 walk-to site (shared parking lot with #1-4, walk to your site)
Must know:
- keep all food/scented items in bear lockers at all times
- no showers
- there is data! Verizon gets great reception, T-mobile not so much
- 50min-1hr drive to main Yosemite attractions (Glacier Point, Yosemite Valley)
- there is a gas station and grocery store near campground
- ice sells out fast
Both sites:
- close to water spigot
- near the restroom (but not directly next to it)
- come with huge bear locker, picnic table, fire ring
If I had to choose between the two, I'd go back to #003!
- although it's a walk-to site, it's much less of a walk than you think
- felt a *bit* more remote than #087; campers on one side and the creek & tall trees on the other

**Fun and hard waterfall hike**: Vernal & Nevada Falls hike via Mist Trail (going up)
TIPS
- snacks, energy drinks, water or else you will be hangry
- Mist Trail going up, John Muir going down
- go up via Mist Trail (must get past the Vernal Fall gate before 7am) or you will take the detour route John Muir (very pretty but many switchbacks)
- Sacrifice your sleep! The sun is strong and hot and will make the hike harder if you start after 9am. Hiking in the cool is much better than walking up steep hills and steps under the sun.
*My schedule for reference in case you are confused like I was!*
5am - left Wawona
5:50am - arrived at Curry Village
6:10am - arrived at Vernal Falls gate and began the hike
-----took 4 breaks, 15-20 min each----------
11:20am arrived back at parking lot

I prefer Wawona to the camping circus that is Yosemite Valley. The sites are more generous. And it is within manageable distances of Glacier Point and Mariposa Grove.
However, this is still Yosemite so your campsite will be adjacent to all kinds. This includes the group of 20 somethings that feel obligated to blast their awful music until 11:30PM. It also includes the guy who decided to bring three dogs instead of the permitted one dog. Bring your ear plugs and your patience and you should have an ok time.

Great spot by the river. The children played on the big rocks in the river. Friendly rangers. Nice and quiet in the evening. Bring your own handsoap, the restrooms didn't have any.
