We had a nice stay at Wawona CG, the site worked for our needs. One negative comment would be regarding the guy across from us in 36. He burned a fire morning and night. With high temps in the 90's it made no sense why he had to have a fire. The smoke just hung in the air since there was no wind to speak of. He used a stove to cook his meals so having a fire was an obsession. How about making some fire restrictions?

location a dream. Generators a nightmare. Completely incomprehensible that they are still allowed in this nature. Spoil you noise pollution the evening.

This campsite was amazing and we were lucky enough to get a site on the creek which was absolutely stunning. We loved the entire campsite and was a short drive to Yosemite and very easy to get to the Yosemite Valley Centre

Pleasantly surprised by this spot and this campground. The spot had everything: a flat surface to put your tent, some shade, a picknick table next to the bear box⦠the spot is near to a river access as well as the restrooms, although the restrooms do not give any nasty smells or noises from this distance. Approx 45-60 min drive to Yosemite valley. Loved this place.

Love this campground with all the surrounding beauty it has to offer and the close proximity to the valley floor.

Campsites were located right next to the river, even in July we fell asleep to the sound of it rushing by. It was hot and our site unfortunately only got afternoon Sun, which made for an early wake up call. Facilities were clean and well-stocked, rangers were friendly. Would definitely stay again!

We appreciated getting a last minute cancellation and pulled into number 17 which was next to the river. Wonderful spot. The rangers were so friendly at the gate and so knowledgable. We got a map for the Giant Sequoias on our way out the next day.
The trash was easy to use and all the campers so chatty and kind. We were the loudest so sorry if someone complained. We did not need water as we brought our own but loved having a flush toilet and sink to wash hands.
Perfect camp spot and would choose it again. The drive from the valley floor of Yosemite was long (45 minutes) but we loved the river spot and left at 6 pm from the valley floor. Plenty of time to set up a tent, cook a quick dinner, and clean up. One night was a blessing.
