What Guests Are Saying
White Wolf Campground is praised for its beautiful location, spacious sites, and proximity to great hiking trails, including those leading to Cloud's Rest and Aspen Valley. While there were complaints about the lack of running water and restrooms, the portable toilets were well-maintained and clean. Many campers appreciated the quiet atmosphere and friendly fellow visitors, making it a favorite choice for future stays.

Beautiful location. This place, and all of our National Parks are worth fighting for, and protecting!

Site 38 was listed as having room for a 20 foot RV, and it did not. We were totally stuck and had to ask our neighbors in spot 37 to park there. It was a really bad experience. I would suggest that Site 38 be removed. I would also not every stay here again.

So beautiful about a hour away from village but it was a beautiful drive. Felt very safe. Just hope they are able to upgrade portapotties to bathrooms. Looks like building are there just need maintenance.

Stevie - the VIP campground host was awesome - kind, informative, vigilant.
The porta potties were clean, and there was water in the footpump hand cleaning station throughout our visit. White Wolf campground was quiet and tidy. We loved it!

We have loved White Wolf for many years. So happy to see it reopened. The volunteer host was visible and helpful. Due to sewer and plumbing issues there was no water and portable bathroom were in use. The portable bathroom company serviced the campground regularly.

This was our first time staying in Yosemite National Park and we would choose White Wolf Campground again for a future summer stay. It was 20 degrees cooler in Tuolomne Meadows area than in Yosemite Valley and for a hot July weekend that made for very comfortable nights. We also appreciated having no cell service so we could truly “unplug” for a couple days. Most of the campsites were well shaded like our site #50. Other sites were a little more exposed but would have still been a comfortable temperature. The bear food lockers were all well maintained and gave plenty of room to store all our food and toiletries. The bathrooms were closed while we were there but they provided well maintained portable toilets and portable sinks to keep up our hygiene. The sequoia groves were close by for a nice short hike and there was a little creek that goes right through the campground. It was only an hour drive to go visit Yosemite Valley for the more popular activities like Mist Trail and Glacier Point. This was not a boring drive either, we saw beautiful vistas around each turn.

Great campground if you are in a site where you fit. Blind getting a site online makes it hard to know what you will get. Lots of great spots though and we loved it.

Spent two weeks camping at National Parks in California. This was by far our favorite spot.

Overall a well-maintained campground with nice (even) campsites with great fire pits and the basic amenities you would expect. Bring insect repellent ;)
