What Guests Are Saying

White Wolf Campground is praised for its beautiful location, spacious sites, and proximity to great hiking trails, including those leading to Cloud's Rest and Aspen Valley. While there were complaints about the lack of running water and restrooms, the portable toilets were well-maintained and clean. Many campers appreciated the quiet atmosphere and friendly fellow visitors, making it a favorite choice for future stays.

Camp site was taken by someone else by the time I got there, And I was forced to star with my other friends at another site. No one to call to get people off my site. Worst experience I’ve had.

Great location between the Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows. Much quieter than the valley campsites.
Many moderate hikes to close by lakes.

We had a great time here and enjoyed in particular the short hike to and swim at Lukens Lake - easily doable on a morning!

I stayed several days at White Wolf Campground.
Pros: nice wilderness and dark skies. Quiet. Good access to Tenaya Lake.
Cons: the toilet facilities are showing their age. Camp store is closed for the year.
Bottom line: I will certainly be back!

Quiet time was supposed to be 10:00 but there were four guys playing music and partying way past 10!

White Wolf is a good spot as a base camp or first night when visiting Tuolumne Meadows. We used it as a first night on a backpacking trip since the usual backpacker's camp is closed. Area seems clean and well-maintained, and the sites are spread out enough that you're not on top of your neighbors.

We had a wonderful time. Our friends stay there a lot so they gave some good information on campsites.
We have camped in Tuolomne Meadows for 70 years. White Wolf was the next best place and it worked out very well. We were able to get campsites close together.
The campsites were spaced so that we didn't feel crowded.
