This is a great campground right on the river near the town of Anonito, CO. We enjoyed our stay here. The campground was quiet during the 4th of July weekend. Our spot was huge, and the pit toilets were clean and didn't smell bad. The campground host, Michael, was very friendly. Our favorite thing was looking at the millions of stars at night since there wasn't any electricity to blind them out. I would recommend this campground to everyone. We stayed here to ride the Cumbres Toltec Railroad and then drove the hour to the Sand Dunes because we knew staying there would be hot.

Our initial site was only so-so, but another was open and we were allowed to switch. We then were in walking distance of the beautiful river and had more privacy, shade and more room for our popup. The host was terrific.

We were in site 21 and loved it. We were right on the river and completely surrounded by big spruce and pine trees. The campsite was very big and had plenty of room for our large tent. Our kids loved how much space the campsite had to play and explore.
The camp host, Michael, was also very helpful. He told us about the area and where the local stores were located.
There was no firewood for sale at the campsite, so you may need to pick some up before arriving.

Very nice CG. Excellent access to the Conejos River. It would be good to have posted where the closest RV dump station is on the entrance bulletin board.

Everything was beautiful, host was very nice. Had a great time. Bathrooms were clean but very smelly to the point you couldn't use them. I think they needed to be emptied.
