Aspen Glade Campground is praised for its beautiful, clean, and well-maintained facilities, with friendly and helpful camp hosts, particularly Michael, Bill, and Deb. Guests enjoyed the serene atmosphere, proximity to the Conejos River, and opportunities for hiking and exploring. Just finished a 5 day stay at Aspen Glade. I believe this campground is one of the nicest spots along the Conejoes River in this area. More ponderosa pines than many of the other campgrounds. Very nice, level sites. Clean vault toilets. The camp hosts are great. Mike is a character and what I like to call, casually professional, with a good sense of humor. Both excellent attributes to ensure your stay is a success. The only downside was the fishing. Unfortunately the river was high and muddy so even trying every day I failed to get a single strike. No one else fishing had any better luck so disappointed at such a bust. The saving grace was the beautiful location making it all worthwhile.

One of our favorite campgrounds to visit every year. Sites were clean. Unfortunately river was too high and fast for fishing. Weather was perfect. We appreciated the camp host. He went above and beyond to assist with an issue during our last day. Hope he comes back next year. Looking forward to camping again in this campground.

We stayed in site 5 on the upper loop, which is nestled in a scenic and sunny ponderosa forest (in contrast, the lower loop, right on the river, seemed very dark due to thick pines). There isn’t a whole lot to do right at the campground (no trails, and in May the river was way to high for wading or good fishing) so we recommend driving up Forest Service Road 250 to the South Fork trailhead to enjoy hiking, fishing, and hanging out on the river.

Beautiful campground on an awesome river. We loved our time spent here. The camp hosts were amazing, so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They helped us identify some berries as edible (as well as which ones were not), and by our description of a critter, they figured we had seen a mink in camp. Once we got to an internet connection we determined they were right, pretty cool! The bathrooms were the cleanest of any we've seen in a forest service campground. We will be back, by golly!

One of our favorite campgrounds. What helps make it special are Bill and Deb, the camp hosts. They are friendly, courteous, helpful and they do an excellent job keeping the restrooms clean and the campground clean. We look forward to seeing them each time we return. The Red Bear establishment up the road (West on 17) serves up some great food, especially ice cream! They are also kind of a general store where you can pick up essentials as well as souvenirs.

The campground was clean and well maintained. The bathrooms were kept clean, hosts were pleasant. Site 23 is a great spot, as are sites 20-22. Up top, site 16 is very nice with a good view.

Beautiful views! Clean restroom - camp host were very helpful and friendly. We had the upper loop to ourselves otherwise the closeness of the tent sites would be tight. And you can hear road noise. But the proximity to the river and scenery is worth it!
