Several nice campsites. Dennis was a terrific camp host and very helpful. Very clean rest rooms. In terms of activities, paddle boarding on Lake Chapman is for beginners and kids. If you want more of a challenge, drive to Ruedi reservoir. Lots of good hiking nearby as well.

This is a lovely campground and the hosts are amazing!!! The site I reserved did not have any shade and the host was very accommodating in helping us relocate. We ended up in a beautiful large shaded site.

This was my first time to Chapman campground, and it won’t be my last! It was a beautiful place and extremely well-kept. Patty, the camp host was very attentive and actually I’ve never seen a clean or campground or bathrooms.

Dates of Visit: 06/06/2023 through 06/10/2023. Sites #64 and #66. Beautiful location. Sites are pretty private in most areas of Loop G and Loop H. There is water/ with hose hook-up for FILLING your camper in Loop G and one in Loop H. The one at the front of campground was not operational. Latrines all in excellent shape (clean and fresh). Camp host was personable and helpful. In fact, one of the best we have ever met. Individual sites are a mix of dirt and gravel with large rocks and or tree stumps waiting to trip you. Fishing on the Frying Pan was fun. Just a great place to relax. No hook-ups at site (electric, water or sewer). No dump station at the campground.

The original site was out in the open, and Patty gave us 78 H which was perfect! Right on the Frying Pan River. Beautiful scenery!
