What Guests Are Saying

Little Mattie Campground offers a beautiful and serene setting, with clean facilities and a dedicated camp host, Jeff, who is frequently praised for his helpfulness and friendliness. The campground is well-maintained, providing a peaceful experience with opportunities for fishing and wildlife viewing. However, some visitors noted the lack of water at the campground and issues with reservations, including a closed dump station, which detracted from their overall experience.

Could not ride ATV.
This was disappointing as I can write it in any other national forest?
Also, no water at upper campgrounds only water at lower one.
The camp host was great!

Overall nice campsite, tucked away from the two others nearby. No map on rec.gov currently but there are YouTube drive through videos you can use to see the layout (wish I did before I booked the site next to the bathroom).

No water at Little Mattie but it was easy to get just up the road at Little Maud campground. In all other ways campground was perfect

Great experience. Jeff the host is a good guy and loves his job. You are lucky to have him there and I hope to see him again next year.
