What Guests Are Saying
Dearhamer Campground is a well-maintained site with excellent fishing and a beautiful natural ambiance from the nearby rushing river. Camp hosts are friendly and keep the facilities, including the pit toilets, exceptionally clean. While some guests experienced issues with site assignments and off-leash dogs, many plan to return due to the overall positive experience and stunning surroundings.

The rushing river right next to our campsite provided some great ambiance. The site was clean when we arrived and the facility was very well kept. The pit toilets were some of the cleanest I have ever found in a camping area. The water hydrants worked well and the drinking water was tasty. This is a gem of a campground.

We enjoyed our stay despite there was hardly any water in the reservoir. We think it's very sad that draining the reservoir just to make sure the Gold Medal water below is practically overflowing its banks is SAD!! Obviously, politics and keeping a select group of people happy is more important than the reservoir and the life it supports. The campground was clean, but we had off leash dogs wandering into our site and causing problems with our leashed dogs.

This was out 2nd year at Dearhammer and will be making it an annual tradition. Itβs a beautiful location with amazing fishing. The hosts are always so friendly. And the vaulted toilets are kept really clean. See you next year!

We stayed at site 8, which was located next to the creek, making it wonderful to sleep next to. The site was spacious, flat, and fairly private. The sun hits that side of the campground in the morning. Above the campground is a beautiful reservoir where we watched an incredible sunset.
