The camp hosts at Chapman were the best. J.D., Kristy, Kathy and Meadow came to our rescue more than once. Due to the fires farther west in Colorado, we had to change our campground plans at the last minute. Arriving at Chapman the hosts helped us find suitable sites for our small trailer even though the campground was almost full. Our camp hosts were on the go all day long keeping the grounds clean, helping campers and maintaining the latrines to a high level of cleanliness. My wife and I have been camping in Colorado for more than forty years and the hosts at Chapman rate the highest.

Our camp hosts were easier to get along with this year. It was unfortunate campfires had to be banned due to the fire risk, but it was understandable & a reasonable response to the fires in the area.

Very nice campground with clean toilets. Nice space between most campsites so you don’t feel crowded. The only downside is that there seem to be few sites that have flat areas for tents, especially if you have larger than a 3-person tent. The friends with RV’s and trailers commented that they had to do only minimal leveling.
