While the sites are of ample size, the one we had reserved proved to be unsuitable. The road noise from the highway below was incessant, and the lack of shade made it an oven inside our van. I do not fault the campground or the website. Simply put, I reserved the wrong site. After driving the loop to see what else was available, we decided to try the campground up the road, Bogan Flats. For us, it was a far better choice...nice shade, wooded, along the river. It is a very popular campground and I can see why. We lucked out by finding a vacant spot and stayed there for two nights. Given that the campgrounds are about 10 miles from each other, in my opinion Bogan is a much better choice.

Campground was in a beautiful setting. Lots of trees and mountains.
Sites were level for the most part.
The electrical service had a bad 30amp breaker so we had to make do with the 110 service.

This is a beautiful campground and excellent location for so many outdoor adventures! The camp hosts Don and John were great with recommendations for local eating and adventures. HOWEVER: Neither the website, nor our reservation reminders, stated the showers were CLOSED!!! What a huge oversite and issue for planning in this remote area.

Campground is beautifu and very clean. Bathrooms were spotless. Donald, the camp host and his partner are fantastic hosts. Very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return next year.

Take I-70 west of Denver to exit 116 (Highway 82 East Glenwood Springs/Aspen). Follow 82 E for about 12 miles, then turn right onto Highway 133 south. Drive about 15 miles, then turn left at north entrance to the town of Redstone, CO.
Campground is on left.
Redstone is accessible via I-70 to Highway 82, which is approximately 12 miles from Glenwood Springs, followed by Highway 133 south for about 15 miles.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
