Great place to relaxes. The town of Redstone is only 1 mi away with a small grocery store and lots of gift shops. Make sure you see the Castle. Reservations are needed. The campground has both electric and nonelectric sites. All nonelectric sites are large with trees all around. Camp hosts we great and seemed they really wanted you to enjoy there campground.
Going back in 2020.

There is no dump facilities at the campground or anywhere in the area - we had to drive up to Carbondale and pay full night fee at a private campground to dump our holding tank. Would not revisit.

I was there in September 2019. The campground has a great location, close to town and supplies, surrounded by giant red-rock walls. The facilities, while somewhat rustic, were clean, well kept and very satisfactory. The campground hosts were terrific, and were knowledgeable about the area. This was my second stay at this facility and I will return in the future.

It's mainly and RV site with gravel camping areas. We were tenting, hiking, and did some backpacking while in the surrounding areas. So, we came and went several times. We met the caretakers and the alternate caretakers too. They all were good smooth operation.
The main attraction for our group was access to showers. Otherwise we'd have gone to just the tenting area. The showers worked well and the water was hot. So A+.
- We had no trouble setting up our tents. I did bring some heavier tent stakes just in case because of the gravel.
- Grounds are well kept. The other people camping there were quiet. The bear lockers were good and large. And there were bear proof dumpsters too.
I'd recommend the site to friends.

Beautiful location. Hookups worked well. The only thing I didn't like was the lack of a dump station.
