What Guests Are Saying
Cobbett Lake Campground is highly praised for its beautiful setting, clean facilities, and friendly host, Pete, who enhances the overall experience. Campers appreciate the spacious campsites, quiet atmosphere, and close proximity to hiking trails and a visitor center. While site #9 may be less suitable for tents and road biking options are limited, the campground remains a favorite for its natural beauty and wildlife encounters.

Our spot was right next to Cobbet Lake. It was beautiful and peaceful. We went paddle boarding and enjoyed some fishing from the bank.

We had an excellent trip! Overall the campground is shaded, quiet, and well maintained. The camp hosts were kind and very helpful. The mosquitos were bad, but we were able to control them with a couple of Thermacells. Highly recommended!

Cobbett Lake campground is a quaint little campground with an older forest and located right next to a small lake. Bridget, the campground host, was very attentive and even introduced herself when checking in for we have not experienced a campground host introducing themselves to us before. The campground is kept clean. Highly recommend camping at Cobbett Lake!!

We had site 10 - great location in the campground close enough to the bathrooms but not so much it was uncomfortable. It's also close to the water spout and the site is one of the larger ones so you're distanced from others a little more.

This was my second time camping at Lake Cobbett, and it’s superbly peaceful. The water is RIGHT by the campsites and is crystal clear and for swimming. There were a few fisherman, but on the whole, sparsely dotted with people, making for a great escape from the rest of the world. The high altitude does lend itself to cooler temps than surrounding areas, so make sure to bring enough provisions for warmth. Mary, the camp host, is incredibly kind and helpful. Some of the trails aren’t marked well, but everything was manageable.

First time camping here—easy and beautiful. Just a one night stay. Very quiet and calm. Bring mosquito repellent in the peak of summer!

Really great spot. Right on the lake, and in the heart of the Mesa. My kids caught a bunch of fish, and we heard and saw multiple bald eagles. And the hosts were fantastic too.
