It is a nice campground with a lot of space in the campsites. Weird that I was charged a "Early arrival fee" of $10.00 though. There wasn't anyone at our campsite when we arrived and it was clean. However I was charged a fee by the camp host. This has never happened anywhere else I have stayed in Colorado. Overall a good campground though.

Spacious campsites for the most part. Reserve an outside site so as to not face other sites. Front of campground sites are next to the road. Good easy biking and walking path adjacent to campground.

This No Electricity Forest Service Campground is reliably clean and well managed. There is no WiFi, but we were aware of that before making reservations. It is close to good trout fishing and that was the major reason for choosing it.

The campground can be accessed via Highway 24, approximately 18 miles from the I-25 interchange in Colorado Springs. From Highway 24, turn onto Highway 67 for an additional 5.5 miles to reach South Meadows Campground.
