We've been staying in this campground 30+ years and although many things have changed (not for the best) since Rocky Mountain Recreation took it over, we still enjoy this place. The camp host is a good guy and easy to get along with so they'll probably replace him soon as they have with many others that were good as well. As for the modern day RVer's with their unruly ill mannered children and barking dogs this is not the place for you. There is no electrical or water hookups at any of the sites as well as no way to dump your sewer tanks. The phone and tv reception is terrible as well. There's no recreation or clubhouse areas for your kids with no pool nearby. If this is what you're looking for, this campground isn't for you. If you're looking for a camping area where the only entertainment for adults or kids is what you bring and a desire to set outdoors with a fire and family then this is your kind of place.

We love visiting this location with our family. The host is very knowledgeable and professional. The sites are very quiet and clean. It’s a convenient location to experience getting away, at the same time it is a short drive for supplies or a quick drive for coffee or a meal out.

This is our favorite FSCG in the area. We have been very fortunate to have wonderful Camp Hosts, which really make a big difference in cleanliness of Vault Toilets, etc.
Would really like to see more reservable campsites...especially #15 which is the nicest site on the property.

Nice campground close to a lot of fun activities: small lake for fishing (although it closes at 7pm), Cave of the Winds, dinosaur museum, wolf sanctuary, Garden of the Gods and hikes and more!
