What Guests Are Saying
Thunder Ridge Campground offers a beautiful and clean camping experience, with friendly hosts who ensure the facilities are well-maintained, including spotless bathrooms. The campground is conveniently located near Woodland Park and features stunning views, easy access to a reservoir for activities like hiking and fishing, and a peaceful atmosphere. Some challenges include uneven tent pads and a bumpy access road, but many campers express a desire to return for the overall positive experience.

The campsite is beautiful and well maintained. The hikes are gorgeous. The staff is friendly and helpful. The four mile of dirt road going in is awful to drive in a small RV though because of the bumps and they won’t let you drive the RV over the dam to launch any boats. We wanted to go kayaking but the other options were too steep for us.

We were in a drive-through slot, which was fine for our popup camper, but not a good spot for a tent. There was no level ground where the tent could be set up.
The view of the reservoir was beautiful. The restroom and water were easily accessed. The Camp Host was quite personable.
It would be so much better if an accurate description of the camp site was available when making reservations.

Loved everything but only reason not 5 stars is #10 tent sight was very slanted. Site claimed to fit 2-3 tents and there was only enough room for one large tent.

We enjoyed our stay a lot. Our lot was clean and not too close to others. The host was very friendly and approachable. The reason I gave a four star is because the road to the camp
site was horrendously and poorly grated. It was so hard on our truck and trailer and took a long time to to drive the few miles.

The campground was great. Sites are far enough apart that you feel you're almost alone. Nice trail down to the lake.
