Beautiful campground. My site was direct waterfront to the rio grande river. Clear with small rapids. Road to campground has some washboards so take it slow. Great hosts. Clean and very well maintained

Edith and her husband are amazing campground hosts. The campground is super clean and well maintained. Bathrooms even smelled nice and were really clean as well. You can tell they take a lot of pride in caring for their guests and maintaining such a great spot. We'll be back!

River Hill is a beautiful campground. We enjoy camping there every year. Edie and Felix, the campground hosts, do an excellent job of managing the campground. They are very friendly and helpful. The only problem this year was that the fresh water pumps in the campground were inoperable. This is something that needs to be attended to right away. With no fresh water hookups, it is critical to be able to get supplemental fresh water from the well pumps on site. We had to hitch a ride to 30 Mile campground to get five gallons of supplemental fresh water. Very inconvenient. This is not the responsibility of the campground hosts. The responsibility falls to Recrreation.gov and campground infrastructure management. Regardless, we will return to River Hill next year.
