River Hill is a beautiful campground. We enjoy camping there every year. Edie and Felix, the campground hosts, do an excellent job of managing the campground. They are very friendly and helpful. The only problem this year was that the fresh water pumps in the campground were inoperable. This is something that needs to be attended to right away. With no fresh water hookups, it is critical to be able to get supplemental fresh water from the well pumps on site. We had to hitch a ride to 30 Mile campground to get five gallons of supplemental fresh water. Very inconvenient. This is not the responsibility of the campground hosts. The responsibility falls to Recrreation.gov and campground infrastructure management. Regardless, we will return to River Hill next year.

This is a beautiful campground. The road to get there isn't so great, but its worth the drive. The hosts were very friendly and the scenery was breathtaking. Lots of trails to hike as well. Recommend.

Beautiful, well maintained campground. Hosts Edie and Felix are friendly, helpful and always busy keeping the campground in great shape. We enjoyed seeing a moose across the river from our site. Occasionally, deer walk through the camp. Sitting and listening to the river rush by is so relaxing. Awonderful place to visit.
