What Guests Are Saying
Marshall Park is a pleasant campground situated along the Rio Grande, noted for its cleanliness and helpful camp host, Melvin Bell. Many visitors appreciated the spacious sites, beautiful river access, and well-maintained restrooms. However, some concerns were raised about a diesel spill affecting site #6, the lack of potable water, and areas needing maintenance, which detracted from the overall experience.

Unlike last year when we visited this year there is a camp host. There was a marked improvement in cleanliness of the campground and especially the bathroom. This is a great little campground and we look forward to returning.

This was our second time to stay here. We loved the host, Melvin Bell. He was very personal and helpful. We ended up staying 3 nights and had a wonderful time. We will definitely be back when we are in Colorado again. Thanks.

Area was very clean and kept up. Host was absolutely great! Sites were large and well spaced. Close to Creede, road noise was very minimal and nonexistent at night.

Marshall Park is a pleasant campground on the banks of the Rio Grande. The restrooms were clean and the host helpful. Although there was no water available this summer we were prepared. We weren’t prepared for the diesel fuel spill that apparently happened in June at site #6. The Forest Service has not remediated it (funding cuts?) so be prepared for it to smell like a truck stop for the foreseeable future.

Site was nice and right by the river for easy fishing access and sounds at night. The length of the site was a little tight for parking the truck after unhitching our 24ft trailer. Camp host was very helpful and friendly. Had issues with people cutting through to go fishing when they could have accessed the fishing spots without the need to interrupt people's privacy. The RV in the spot next to us had a dog that kept crapping on our spot and the owners never picked up after.

We enjoyed our first trip to Marshall Park. We had a site next to the beautiful Rio Grande River.
The problem with the site is that a large section of it's road had had a large diesel spill. The
spill had been covered with gravel but was bleeding back into the cleanup. The smell was
stong and we had to work around the spill. Someone needs to properly clean the site so it
can be used in it's entirety.
