We love this peaceful, beautiful place! The camp hosts, Edith and Felix Gallardo, are probably the best in the country! They work, morning to night, ensuring cleanliness of the sites, the bathrooms, the shared spaces. They carry out work projects to improve the campground, such as updating the horseshoe pit, clearing dead tree limbs, installing tent pads, etc. They are on constant alert to any unwanted behavior that might endanger campers, such as 'visitors' who fail to follow speed limits, any potential wildlife alerts, etc. Bring your binoculars, a comfy chair, your fishing pole, a good book, or a hammock and just relax!

We loved our site along the river, but really I don’t think there is a bad site in the campground. Camp hosts do a great job keeping the sites and the toilets clean.

This campground and the bathrooms are immaculately clean. The sites are nicely spaced away from each other giving you enough quiet and privacy. The hosts were friendly but not intrusive. The scenery of the upper Rio Grande terrain is beautiful. We plan to return again.

This is a beautiful campground! We used it as both a home base and a place to hike out of. Situated along the banks of the Rio Grande, we were able to sleep with the sound of moving water which was so relaxing.

The bathrooms were clean and smelled like bubble gum. Our kids were enchanted by the old hand pump. The camp hosts were friendly and informative. We loved it!

It was farther out than we expected but it was great being away from everything. Lots of dirt trails and fishing spots. The campground is pristine. The host are friendly and helpful, keeping the place safe and clean. There's water and clean bathrooms, also a sink water drain. Would like to try and go again. It was a six hour plus drive from Denver if you don't stop long. That was the only negative.
