The campground is located in one of my most favorite places in the world. The individual sites are large and easy to get into and located on the backs of the Rio Grande. The site were well maintained and the camp host-who was pulling double duty for 30 mi and River Road, kept the rest rooms clean as well as the other common areas.

This was our sect trip here and I was so impressed with how clean all the campsites and bathrooms were. The camp host has really went above and beyond. She really is a go getter, not only was she taking care of 2 campgrounds but she was also so pleasant to deal with and talk to.
If I could give a 10+ I would.

From Alamosa, go west on US 160 to South Fork. Turn northwest on State
Highway 149 through Creede. Continue on Highway 149 to mile marker 41,
turn west (gravel road) on Rio Grande Reservoir Road and continue for 12 mi to
Thirty Mile Campground.
Thirty Mile Campground is accessible via US Highway 160 and State Highway 149. US 160 is approximately 25 miles to the south, providing access to South Fork.
