What Guests Are Saying
Island Lake Campground offers a beautiful, well-maintained setting with clean restrooms and friendly camp hosts who provide excellent service. The campground features spacious and private sites, ideal for fishing and hiking, with stunning lake views. However, access is currently limited due to construction, with a challenging one-lane road that may pose difficulties for larger vehicles.

The campground is beautiful and well maintained. The views at the lake cannot be beat, and the water was very clear. The campground hosts checked in with us, offered water, and were extremely kind and accommodating. The spot we stayed in (#36) is not very level for an RV or trailer, but would be excellent for tent camping as the tent pads are flat and a nice distance from the road. Despite being close to the group campsites, we did not have any issues with noise. We are already looking forward to going back next Summer.

The campground is well maintained, and in very nice setting. Campground hosts were friendly and helpful. This year an adjacent campground was under reconstruction, which limited access to Island Lake and Island Lake campground. Also, yellow tape everywhere to limit parking and access. Will be glad when the project is complete!

We had no notification that one road was closed nor did we know the boat ramp was closed. This should have been posted on the website. The road into the campground was not only very rough but it was also one way. What happens if a person towing a trailer in meets a person towing out? It as very iffy and potentially dangerous!
