We love everything about Junction Creek Campground and have stayed 3 times. The hosts are amazing and we adore Beverly & Dean. They do a great job of keeping everything clean and tidy. After someone checks out the campsites and cleaned and prepped for the next visitors and they practically Zen Garden the sites!
The only downside is no internet service and spotty cell service.

Great discovery for Durango. Location is only 5 miles from town yet up in the woods. This was our second year here and will be back next year. The hosts are super friendly and helpful (Beverly, Dean, Dennis) and the bathrooms were the cleanest I have ever seen. Sites are very well spaced into loops so traffic and noise were minimal as you only had traffic for your loop. Durango community center was also a great find (for workouts and showers) and only 5 miles down the hill. The last mile up the hill is unpaved but pretty well maintained. Lots of great hiking near by and creek walking distance from campground.

excellent campground, hiked some of the Colorado Trail which starts just below the campground, I'd recommend camping at Junction Creek and will probably camp there again

My spot was at two different slope angles. Had difficulty unhitching the trailer. Truck at one angle, trailer at the other
