The only thing that needs improvement is the road to the camp ground.

We stayed in site #5 of loop C and really enjoyed our visit. That site had good tree coverage but the parking area was open which was perfect to keep our solar panels topped off. The vault toilets were very well kept and the host was personable and stayed on top of things. We didn't notice any generators in our loop and the sites are spaced enough apart that you get some privacy.
This was a great location for exploring the Durango area as you are only about 15min from town and easy access to everything but once back at the campground we felt like we were away from it all. The Colorado Trail starts/ends right outside the campground so you have a nice trail that follows a creek for a bit. There were a lot of mosquitos/flies in mid-June but that's to be expected in the forest with a creek nearby.

Campsite D2 was amazing!!! It's a double fee site with LOADS of space! The kids explored for hours on end. We very easily fit in two large tents, two easy-ups, and hammocks. Bathrooms were kept clean and Beverly, the camp hostess, was delightful!
