Fantastic campground right near one of the park entrances. It was quiet, the sites are spread out and the bathrooms were clean with flushing toilets.

I wish all national parks had bathrooms as nice as Aspenglen. Additionally, it is the only campground I've visited that offers propane bottle recycling. So appreciated!
Plus, sleeping to the sound of the Fall River? Perfection.

Great location in the park. The CG is much smaller than the other RMNP campgrounds. The CG host and other employees were very nice. Clean bathrooms and everything worked. Big trees, cliffs and views. 100% terrific.

We had an AMAZING time. We camped in the B loop and loved how small, quiet, and low key it was. Facilities were awesome – potable water AND flushing toilets?! Luxuries! We drove Trail Ridge Road, and did two EPIC hikes. What a gift this Park is! The Bear Lake parking lot was full by 6:15am both days we were adventuring, so if you have that part of the park in mind, either get up REALLY early or prepare to take the shuttle (which was GREAT!). Timed entry seemed to keep the crowds manageable and all of the staff we interacted with were wonderful.

Great spot, not a lot of privacy. Trees cut down and left around the campsite.

Aspenglen is by far my favorite campground in Rocky for a devoted tent camping experience. Being adjacent to a roaring river, the nightscape and natural sound is perfect -- undisturbed by the noise of motorhome generators! It's convenient to the bustling town of Estes Park with a wide variety of restaurants as well as near to many hiking trails and to Trail Ridge Road --the principal route through the Park. Wildlife is abundant, and fellow campers are happy to share stories of the great adventures in this splendid Park!
