We had a marvelous time. The facilities were very convenient, the views were unforgettable, and the shuttle bus, which stops at the campground, put all the most popular trails within an easy reach. A superb experience.

Nice campsite, clean bathrooms, had some very loud inconsiderate neighbors that I wish the ranger had told to be quiet.

We really enjoyed our time here. The facilities were great and we appreciated the easy access to the Park and Ride lot for park shuttle service. We also enjoyed being able to walk to Sprague Lake. The only reason I did not give 5 Stars is because D-loop sites have NO shade.

The best campground I have used so far. The facilities are incredible and accessible from any site - and the views are the best I’ve seen at any campground, as you are literally in the middle of the Rockies and have 360 degree mountains views. There is also great cell service at this campground which is just an added bonus to it.

Like most of the national parks where we’ve been able to snag a campground. This one was fabulous. You have beautiful views of longs peak, and multiple other lower peaks as well as nearby glaciers. It’s on Bear Lake Rd., which is a covered place to have a reservation to drive. It’s right across the street from the shuttle if you wanna take that all the way up to Bear Lake to do some nice hiking. It’s a little less than a mile away to Sprague Lake and there is a connecting trail as well. The Rangers and camp hosts were friendly and informative. There are many sites that are open where a Starlink would work well and there are several other sites where there are many trees. There’s also a beautiful group camp area if that is your need.

The campground is located in a beautiful basin with amazing views all around. Our campsite was next to the shuttle stop to the park and ride - not ideal. Also, even though the rec. gov website clearly states an 8 person limit per site, the campsite directly across from us was occupied by no less than 15 people - all of them talking loudly, riding bicycles all around the campground with a number of crying children! Not conducive to a peaceful commune with nature. The camp hosts did not enforce the occupant limit.

Spacious campground with a nice view of the mountains surrounding the glacier basin. Easy access to Bear Lake, etc.

Site C111 was just perfect. The campsite is half way in the tree line and half way out-great for shade and widespan mountain view purposes. We were close to the bathrooms and water but not enough for it to be a bother. Bathrooms were very clean. The incoming ranger was informative and firewood and ice were sold in the evenings. Deer strolled through the campsite, and we spotted a mama & two baby moose on the way out.

Clean toilets, good camp hosts and large camp sites. The rangers really care about the property and it shows!
