What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers fantastic sites with great access to mountain biking trails, making it an ideal spot for family trips. The campground is clean, well-marked, and features nicely wooded areas for shade, along with newly paved access roads. However, some campsites are close together, which can lead to noise, and visitors are advised to bring their own toilet paper as supplies may run out.

Nice campground. Be careful about site selection if you’re using a truck camper as not all sites have a driveway. Convenient location.

Reserving a campsite through rec.gov is wonderful. The are maps and pictures that are useful

Beautiful and quiet location. Our camper (27 ft) was a bit large for the camping spot we selected and not level. Many of the sites are at the side of the road without a "pull in". Wonderful to be there in October when it was not crowded!

One of the very few places one can ride a 21st century mountain bike (e-bike).

Great basic camping and fun to see so many families, kids, old and young enjoying mountain biking.

Fortunately I had a level site with plenty of room to park my truck with camper on it in my site.
Unfortunately, very few of the sites in the A, B , or C loop offer very many level spots to park or have parking areas big enough to accommodate a camper, van trailer or RV.
This is a poorly designed campground overall for anything but tent camping.

The campsite was perfect for what we needed. Great views of the bookcliffs!
