What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers fantastic sites with great access to mountain biking trails, making it an ideal spot for family trips. The campground is clean, well-marked, and features nicely wooded areas for shade, along with newly paved access roads. However, some campsites are close together, which can lead to noise, and visitors are advised to bring their own toilet paper as supplies may run out.

The campground was well maintained and very scenic. However, the last 6 miles of the road in we're very rough, especially for an RV. This very much discourages me from a return visit. Also, all sites must be reserved for an additional $8 although we were about the only ones at this large campground. The host is not on site to to take walk-up registrations. The no-see-ums also leave welts. Take plenty of bug spray.

Great experience. The only downsides - no-see-ums and road to the campground in a really bad condition.

Laid back and well maintained campground. Beautiful surroundings and super clean bathrooms. Bring (and use) bug spray. We all left with little bug bites that we had no idea we were getting until we got home.

Campsites are good to do all the trails by mountainbike in this area. The road up to the campground is an imposition for vehicles without off-road chassis. Leveling our motorhome was a challenge.

18 road was a great spot to camp if your out in Fruita for mountain biking. The sites were well maintained and the facilities were kept very clean. We had a group of 4 couples and had a great time.

Mountain Bikers Paradise. Make sure you bring potable water and everything else you may need. There was no camp host and no shade at all. You’re there if you want to mtb or off road.

It is still possible to have space and privacy when camping. We loved the layout of the campground and the access to the phenomenal mountain biking trails. Facilities were in good shape.
