What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers a fantastic location right off the North 18 Road trails, making it ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. The campground features spacious, clean sites with good amenities, and recent road paving has improved access significantly. While some reviews noted issues with toilet paper availability and occasional overcrowding, the overall experience is praised for its excellent trail access and well-maintained facilities.

Awesome campground. Great trail system. Hopefully more trails can be added. More campsites needed.
Not a fan of the reservation system.
I watched Alaskan campground experiences ruined due to this process.
You still need to let walk up/ first come first serve service.
Very disappointed in the new process.

Lack of trash service and established pads for tents make this a fairly primitive camping experience. The cost of the campsite ($20 / night) is relatively high when you consider the lack of services compared to other nearby campsites that have established pads, showers, trash service, water, etc.

North Fruita desert at 18 Road is great for camping and mountain biking. The trails are fun for all skill levels and riding from camp is the best. Campsites are fine, some are closer together than ideal, but not too bad. New reservation system and more developed sites was badly needed. $8 reservation fee is a bummer, $28 for one night is quite steep for camping, especially when the bathroom is frequently out of toilet paper.
