North Fruita Desert Campground offers a fantastic location right off the North 18 Road trails, making it ideal for mountain biking enthusiasts. The campground features spacious, clean sites with good amenities, and recent road paving has improved access significantly. lower loop is a dirt parking lot- although some of the spots in the F circle looked OK.

The group site was nice and isolated which was great. The bathrooms where nice and clean. We had 3 campers and we felt a little crowded. A 25 Dr, a 16 ft and a tear drop. Not much room between them. But other than that it was great.

North Fruita Desert Campground is amazing. Camped there for over 20 years, with the new reservation system it was nice to roll up 18 Road and know I had a camp. People were quite and respectful, pit toilets were clean and well stocked. Thanks for a great camping experience. Will be back time and again!

Beware, there are discrepancies in the sign numbering and description on the map vs what is at the site. We booked A 10 and 12, which were supposed to have been adjacent and pull through. On site, A12 was across the road and not a pull through. A13 was adjacent and a pull through, which was opposite of what the reservation and site map showed.

We camped in mid-February, mostly for a chance to try out our new van. We have camped here before but never this early in the year. There was still 6 inches of snow in the shade and as far as we could tell there were not any other campers in the campground the 2 nights we were there. It was really quiet and peaceful-very enjoyable!! The trails were a little too muddy to ride so we just took some long walks on the gravel roads. This is a well designed campground with nice separation between sites. The tent sites are level and have concrete tables and fire rings. However most of the parking pads are not level, so it you are in a van or truck camper be sure to bring leveling blocks. I recommend this campground.

nice place. your prices are way too high especially for off season. when i visit a campground in the national forests/parks and the senior discount is what it is here, it makes me wonder. most of the campsites i have been to give a 50% senior discount. ok, that's fine. the monument campground is $20 with a 50% senior discount. what up? no water, no electricity, no nothing, but it's at a premium price. charge what you like during peak season, but off season, rethink it. like i said, a nice place.
