What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers fantastic sites with great access to mountain biking trails, making it an ideal spot for family trips. The campground is clean, well-marked, and features nicely wooded areas for shade, along with newly paved access roads. However, some campsites are close together, which can lead to noise, and visitors are advised to bring their own toilet paper as supplies may run out.

Arrived and somebody was occupying our spot and wouldn’t leave although that hadn’t had a reservation. Disappointed that you make a reservation for an experience and somebody has to ruin it for you. Be respectful to others.

Great spot to camp in cooler weather. Great view of the valley day or night. We could easily see the milky way at night. Quiet (we were there mid-week, very few campers). Excellent access to mountain bike trails! Pretty clean pit toilets although the TP ran out. Be aware there is no source of water. If you sleeping in an RV or a Van many of the sites in the A, B and C loops do not have level parking.

Super clean site. That includes the toilet and the road and trails. Not even a ciggy but in the fire ring.
OUTSTANDING!

The problem I had was with the description of the site A-14 which when I showed up was way too small and faced the wrong direction because the road is one-way. This should be labelled as tent only since to level an RV trailer is difficult. However, I did book D-10 which was great for my 34ft RV.

The road in is rough anf long. Figure 45-60 minutes to get to camping area. We were in a class A, but even in our jeep 15mph was about top speed. Sunset and stars are amazing

We were there in July so we practically had the place to ourselves. If you're there to ride mountain bikes it works out well. Seems a little expensive for basically a place to put up a tent, picnic table, and an outhouse, especially with the $8 administrative fee.
