What Guests Are Saying
North Fruita Desert Campground offers fantastic sites with great access to mountain biking trails, making it an ideal spot for family trips. The campground is clean, well-marked, and features nicely wooded areas for shade, along with newly paved access roads. However, some campsites are close together, which can lead to noise, and visitors are advised to bring their own toilet paper as supplies may run out.

the facilities were clean, stocked and available. Lock on the door to the bathroom was broken. I like and appreciate that you have signs addressing and asking people to NOT cut up and burn the trees/vegetation but think you need more of those signs and possibly have the camp host driving around talking to people about this topic and low-impact camping. we will be back next year but coming earlier...it was HOT!!!

Clean restrooms, nothing fancy, but great deal on a leveled rv spot for the money. Bring a canopy to cover the picnic table.

This campground has grown a lot over the years. This spot was good, a little tight, ideal if you are in a van or tent on the car. Only room for one tent otherwise. Construction of road improvements was taking place, so the roads are slated to improve too. Overall a good spot, just very busy with all the adjacent sites.

Well maintained campground. Easy access to trails. Lacks shade, but to be expected it's a desert after all.

It’s a great location to simply ride right out of your campsite onto the trails. The vault pit toilets were exceptionally clean and well stocked. Great views of Fruta area. I will say that we got kinda lucky with picking our site and having a 25 foot travel trailer. Not all sites would’ve been able to accommodate that. Maybe during the filter process I must’ve picked the right one. Anyways, great experience.

great camping area, but:
1. No indication of reserved site/ no "occupied" tag
2. No campground host to clean outhouse. Paper shortage. Needs attention.
3. Road paving is a plus!

Great spot for early spring, excellent access to the bike trails. This was our third time camping here, and the first year we have ever had issues with the toilet being inadequately supplied and infrequently cleaned, there was no camp host on duty I’m assuming due to recent budget cuts. Plan to bring your own TP, and enjoy!
