We booked a campsite last minute for a single overnight stay. Driving into Colorado National Monument was very cool - we'd never been there before. We had a trailer with us that made going through the low tunnels a little nerve-wracking, but it was fine. Kids enjoyed a hike from one of the overlooks. Lots of people had mountain bikes with them, so it must be a good place for that. Campground was nice, sites are a little close to each other, and there isn't a lot of shade, but we did have a nice pull-through spot that had some taller shrubs. The water wasn't turned on yet for the outdoor spigots, which made filling up our water jugs a bit of a challenge. Great views. The campsite does not allow wood fires / fire rings.

Really fun February night away from home. Such a cool place to explore and beautifully desolate this time of year. So calm and fun

We chose the best view, but has to deal with a sloped site. It was still really beautiful, quiet and full of stars at night.
