Good camp host. The facilities are well maintained. I really enjoyed the slower pace of the park compared to the more well known parks. Was pleasantly surprised by the topography.

Our campsite was very nice, our 25 foot Sunseeker fit the site, every site was very clean. Luckily we were close to the restroom. Do wish there were ventilation in the restrooms. Our site B. 44 had amazing views of Fruita and Grand Junction Valley.
Driving around the 23 miles of roads I wish there were more room for us to stop at special locations. Not enough room for our size camper in parking area.
Overall we enjoyed our visit, we were amazed by the canyons depth and geological formations. Enjoyed the visitors center, people in camp ground were respectful of quiet time.

Saddlehorn is a complete hidden gem in western Colorado! Looks like they added new tent pad locations to sites that were closed during my stay! Which will help setting up much easier for those with a tent! The bathroom was amazingly clean and warm, since there is a heater in there to take the nip out of a cold spring night! Water was off when there but was still able to fill up collapsible water jugs at the cleaning tub between the men's and women's bathrooms! And the views are breathtaking!!!

We booked a campsite last minute for a single overnight stay. Driving into Colorado National Monument was very cool - we'd never been there before. We had a trailer with us that made going through the low tunnels a little nerve-wracking, but it was fine. Kids enjoyed a hike from one of the overlooks. Lots of people had mountain bikes with them, so it must be a good place for that. Campground was nice, sites are a little close to each other, and there isn't a lot of shade, but we did have a nice pull-through spot that had some taller shrubs. The water wasn't turned on yet for the outdoor spigots, which made filling up our water jugs a bit of a challenge. Great views. The campsite does not allow wood fires / fire rings.
