Great campground with beautiful views! It was crowded, but our site felt removed enough from others. Bathrooms were clean, and we enjoyed the nightly educational talks!

We had a very nice spot (B92, across from the bathroom) and were enjoying the evening when our dog had a life-threatening emergency. Mountain Legacy Veterinary Center in Gunnison saved him. They are on Rt 50 toward Crested Butte, about a mile from Wal-Mart. If you need pet care, do not hesitate to contact them!

Beautiful campground and lots to do. Had fun renting paddle boards, kayaks and party boat. The evening presentations by the ranger were very interesting. Canyon of the Black Gunnison is amazing and only about an hour away. Unfortunately the reservoir was full of toxic blue green algae and not swimmable. Still had a great time!

Clean sites, very clean bathrooms and spacious area. Friendly ranger with great 8pm lectures. Recommended bay of chickens for swimming and it was close and nice to swim on a hot day! Been there before and that’s why we came back. Be back again soon!!

Ok years of staying there A loop was supposed to be electrical sites and showers bright closer. The one building is usually trashed. Would be nice if water and sewer brought to site's

Nice location for fishing and boating activities. Reasonably good cell phone coverage. Campsites are for most part fairly level. Good Dump facilities.

We’ve been to Elk Creek 3 times on different loops around the west. Great campground, super clean, fantastic staff. My only complaint is road noise from Rt 50.

The view of the reservoir was great in the area. Even with some wildfire haze, stargazing was beautiful, and we managed to catch the Perseids. The live program done by the ranger was informative and cool. I only wish there was a bit more shade at some of the sites. But other than that, the facilities were great, restrooms clean, no trash on the ground outside, none of the wildlife was annoying. Everything was great!
