What Guests Are Saying

Lake Fork Campground offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains, providing a peaceful atmosphere, particularly during less crowded times. The campground features clean bathrooms, accessible drinking water, and ample amenities for RVs, making it a pleasant stay for many visitors. However, some campers noted limited shade, tight campsite spacing, and the campground's parking lot-like layout, which may detract from the experience for those seeking a more traditional camping environment.

Services very limited. No interaction with staff and never saw the camp host. Pay showers.
Lake was lowered 80 feet when we visited so only one other camper in campground.
Campground tends to be used as public facilities for bathrooms, etc.

Bathroom near my spot was locked. Otherwise was fine. This place is definitely set up for RVs - like a giant parking lot.

A spacious campground with beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains. We stayed at a walk-in campsite, which was very exposed to the wind, so that's something to keep in mind if you're camping in a tent.
There are drinking water pumps available throughout the campground, and the toilets were reasonably clean. We didn't see much of the campground host during our stay, but everything was well organized.

It’s basically a parking lot, but it was mostly empty and very peaceful. Flush bathrooms and lots of water easily accessible. Sunrise/sunset were both beautiful.

There’s RV spots in front of the tent spots so you have to park farther away. The tent spots are huddled very close together, a little closer than I’d like for a walk in site. There is no shade at any of the tent sites but you do have a picnic table & fire ring. There’s no utility sink by the bathroom for dishes, but it is flush toilets. Showers are available by the boat ramp, $3 in quarters for 10min

The sites are super close together, there are little walls between them but those do little for privacy. Or shade, this site’s picnic table was in full sun until the sunset and again as soon as it rose.
The bathrooms don’t have a utility sink, just a sign that says not to wash dishes in the bathroom sink.

Basically a parking lot. We went for 4th of July weekend. We had hoped to be close to the water, but it was so low the lake edge was still some distance from the campground. Spaces are right next to each other, if you’re planning to go I’d rent two next to each other. Otherwise you might not be able to open your slide-out or your awning. You’ll need that awning too, and a canopy, because there isn’t any shade. Bathrooms were nice and clean, there was potable water nearby, but be sure to come in with a full fresh tank. The water hoses at the dump/water station don’t have any connections making it difficult to fill your fresh water or to clean your black water tank. Showers are there too, $3.00 for 10 minutes, maintained by marina, and not very clean. We made the best of it, but I will not be staying here again.
