What Guests Are Saying

Lake Fork Campground offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains, providing a peaceful atmosphere, particularly during less crowded times. The campground features clean bathrooms, accessible drinking water, and ample amenities for RVs, making it a pleasant stay for many visitors. However, some campers noted limited shade, tight campsite spacing, and the campground's parking lot-like layout, which may detract from the experience for those seeking a more traditional camping environment.

Does have the cleanest well kept bathrooms I've seen in a long time.

The site was clean but it was on the top of the hill and so the wind was terrible and we could not set up our tent. Neighbor tents were blown into our campsite as well. It was so bad we had to purchase another site lower to be able to stay.

This site was easy to access. The tent area was larger than the other lower sites which was nice. There was a wind advisory with 40 mph gusts, that we had to anchor our tent to the fire pit and our car. There is no shade at any of the camp ground sites, but there is a wooden barrier around the picnic table so my husband used an extra rain fly to attach to it and the picnic table to create a nice shade for us to have. We were right next to the bathrooms, but not so close it was bothersome. The bathrooms were very clean and accessible.

The lower loop is nice. It is close to the lake. The spots are very very tight. Good thing we didn’t have a neighbor. It would be nice if there was some power for charging your boat batteries since there’s bathrooms on one side with power and EV charging station on the other

Hard to navigate the trail in the dark, but a short trail and nice views.

I liked this campground. It has all the amenities (shower, potable water, flush toilet), a very helpful host, level place to park (I'm a car camper). Everything is clean. There are many sites that overlook the serene Blue Mesa Reservoir. It's reservable, peaceful, and an easy drive to the Curecanti visitor's center, hikes, Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Sites are extra wide asphalt spaces with a picnic table at the curb. There's no shade at all in this campground, but if your main purpose is to see the area, that's not an issue. I'll camp here again!

The people that work here are just amazing they're like family they help you in any way they can I've even seen him give gasoline to people that needed to get gas for their car to get to the town

The lake!! Absolutely gorgeous! If you have a boat this is a great place to put it in the water, BUT if not go elsewhere. The camp host was awesome!! So nice and helpful! She made our stop so much better. Rangers and other workers were all great!
The pros: right on water, can watch boats and has an RV dump station. Sadly that's it
The cons: it's pretty much a parking lot with assigned spaces. There's no RV water fill station, just potable water for jugs. Leveling can be tough as most of it's a hill. Getting to the dock and water means a long walk up and down a big hill! We had a reservation for a week as we waited for our reservation at the National Park, but left after 2nd night as an RV pulled in next to us and ran their generator constantly. We would not stay here again.

While showers were not listed as an amenity there were 4 of them. Unfortunately the water temp wash room temperature at best. Still better than nothing. $3.00 for 10 minutes I think.
