What Guests Are Saying
Lake Fork Campground offers beautiful views of the lake and surrounding mountains, providing a peaceful atmosphere, particularly during less crowded times. The campground features clean bathrooms, accessible drinking water, and ample amenities for RVs, making it a pleasant stay for many visitors. However, some campers noted limited shade, tight campsite spacing, and the campground's parking lot-like layout, which may detract from the experience for those seeking a more traditional camping environment.

Due to covid we didn't use the restrooms, so can't comment on them. The campground is clean and a ranger was in evidence several times per day, and were friendly and helpful. Campers were generally considerate and quiet. We very much liked the fact that, due to covid, every other site was closed, meaning each camper could spread out across 2 adjacent sites. I think when all sites are open it would be very cramped. Overall we had a pleasant experience.

Lake Fork was kinda weird. It was close to the water, but you couldn’t really swim as it was right on the dock and the water around it was kinda gross. We drove to a place across the bridge to swim which is nice, but not what I wanted exactly.
The “camping site” is basically just a big parking lot, with a picnic table and a fire pit. The sites seemed to be super close together, but since there weren’t so many people there, it felt safe for covid reasons. I will say that the bathrooms were nice and had running water which was a good surprise. I recommend this for people who want to do a day trip/one overnight for fishing or boating or something but nothing more.

Great area to get away from it all. Great hiking and wonderful COVID protocol.

This should be labeled as a RV parking lot, not a campground.
