We stayed at Site # 2. Great location feels private. Very well maintained, immaculate bathrooms. Able to use Starlink. Vera and Rick the camp hosts were very helpful. We were welcomed by a Moose trotting through the campground heading to the river to eat. Close to Taylor Lake. We fished off the shoreline and caught our bag limit in a couple hours! Tasty Rainbows! Definitely will be back!

Cleanest campground bathrooms you’ll ever come across. Seriously, the host at Lottis Creek does an impeccable job - kudos to her. The group site is wonderful, the pavilion is spacious and private. We are definitely coming back.

Absolutely beautiful! If you have the opportunity to stay at this site I highly recommend it! All of the sites are far enough apart that you have plenty of privacy, and you are always close by to the restrooms and water spouts. The camp host was super friendly and welcomed us right away! She always stopped by to check in on us when she went on her rounds. If you’re tent camping in early June make sure you bring a heater and a long extension cord as the nights can be very cold, but if you prepare right you should be fine. Town can be a 30-45 minute drive so make sure you have everything you need before you arrive. Overall this was one of the most beautiful sites I’ve ever camped at and I look forward to visiting it again in the future!

From Gunnison, Colo., travel north on Highway 135 for 10 miles to Almont. At intersection of State Rt. 135 and County Rt. 742, take Rt. 742 for 16.7 miles to campground sign. Turn right into campground.
Lottis Creek Campground is accessible via State Highway 135, which leads north from Gunnison. The campground is located approximately 16.7 miles from the intersection of State Rt. 135 and County Rt. 742.
Elevation: 2767 feet
27 mi drive to downtown Gunnison (about 38 min)
Policies & Rules
General
- Standard Single Family sites: Recreation Use Fee allows ONE camping unit ONLY.
- Late Arrivals: campers are not considered a "no-show" until 24 hours after arrival date check in time. Our policy is that your site will not be released before that.
- FIRST COME FIRST SERVE sites must be booked in person. DO NOT call to determine availability, as they are only available on-site.
- Extra Vehicles: Cannot be paid for in advance - upon arrival coordinate with host for payment and where to park.
- Don't Move Firewood: Prevent the spread of tree-killing organisms by obtaining firewood at or near your destination and burning it on-site. For more information visit dontmovefirewood.org.
- If using an Interagency Senior Pass or an Interagency Access pass, holder of this pass must be present with card and a picture ID for the park to honor the discount. The Interagency Annual Pass is not accepted.
