Lottis Creek Campground is praised for its excellent location, cleanliness, and outstanding camp hosts who provide exceptional support and friendliness. The campground features well-maintained facilities, including the cleanest pit toilets, and offers beautiful scenery with good fishing and hiking opportunities. However, guests have expressed concerns about deep potholes in the roads and issues with the dump station water supply that need attention from management.

We’ve stayed in this campground many times, and it’s one of our favorites. The campground is well maintained in a beautiful setting, the restrooms are always clean, and the recreational opportunities (hiking, fishing, sightseeing, et al) in the upper Taylor River canyon are all there for us to enjoy. The campground is starting to see some pine beetle damage, but it’s not significant - yet. Even though the campground was full, it was quiet at night. Jerry was our campground host, and was very friendly.

Campground host (Jerry from Iowa) was excellent - so knowledgeable, welcoming; attention to detail - site condition/restroom condition facilities; helpful on local knowledge ie. NFS dump station location nearby; shortcut back road to Crested Butte....and saved us 53 miles of travel by recommending Cottonwood Pass (not evident as much of a road on maps) v Monarch for our next destination.....and a great campground site as well. An easy 5 star rating for an NFS experience.

Great campground! We stayed in site 7. Campground is kept very clean, as are vault toilets (host actually puts cute decor and air freshner in women's side so no awful smell!) Campground host is very nice and helpful, actually recommended a quieter site for us after first night. Close to hiking, South Lottis creek trailhead which is nice too.

Campground was clean and quiet. Our camp host was great and took pride in his campground. Loved being in the mountains and will definitely be back if we are in the area.
