The park staff were great! The sites were well maintained and it was a nice to have the area for our small group. The only challenge was the smell of the restroom. It was noticeable around the camp.

The site sells itself however I feel that more could be done to level in the area of set up. Wash outs of the campground road continue to be a problem. The main canyon road was in excellent condition this years.

Nice site by creek but longer walk-in than other sites. Long drive to campground but not crowded & walking distance to Overlook Trail & dam. Vault a bit dark in daylight but well stocked with TP.

Campsites were in great condition, bathrooms good, trash emptied. Campground host, Neil, was very attentive and helpful. So much fun with the families.

Unfortunately it was about the only day we've had rain this year and we ended up not spending the night, but that isn't the reason for the rating. Bathrooms were pretty gross. The 1 and 2 campsites are different. Both park right next to #2 site, #1 site is a 100' walk down from the parking spot.

We had some weather issues -- high winds, which are not uncommon here and elsewhere in Colorado, a June snow fall, rare but happens. The campground host came around to let us know there was snow in the forecast, there hadn't been when we checked in the day before and we appreciated the heads-up. Decided to stay and managed fine, was pretty and all melted quickly once the sun came out. This is such a beautiful place, we love camping here.
