Campsites were in great condition, bathrooms good, trash emptied. Campground host, Neil, was very attentive and helpful. So much fun with the families.

Unfortunately it was about the only day we've had rain this year and we ended up not spending the night, but that isn't the reason for the rating. Bathrooms were pretty gross. The 1 and 2 campsites are different. Both park right next to #2 site, #1 site is a 100' walk down from the parking spot.

We had some weather issues -- high winds, which are not uncommon here and elsewhere in Colorado, a June snow fall, rare but happens. The campground host came around to let us know there was snow in the forecast, there hadn't been when we checked in the day before and we appreciated the heads-up. Decided to stay and managed fine, was pretty and all melted quickly once the sun came out. This is such a beautiful place, we love camping here.

The eleven mile canyon is so peaceful and the cove campground is nestled along side the river which allowed for such a serene experience!

There was a fire in the dumpster when we arrived from someone putting their large partially burnt firewood into it. Who does that? We had the task of dealing with that first thing and extinguishing it . Also, many mice running around and got into one of the cars, chewing on a pair of expensive sunglasses and shredding some tissue and who knows what else. The outhouse smelled from about 50 yards away from urine and whatever chemicals were added to try and mask the smell. This site suffers from overuse.

Alert for Reservation Holders: There is a one-time fee of $11.00 to enter Eleven Mile Canyon Recreation Area in which your campground is located. You will only have to pay this fee once for the duration of your stay. There is an Annual Pass available for purchase. The fee for the 2025 calendar year is $100.00. |

Two vehicles or one RV per site is included in the camping fee. This campground has no overflow parking available for a third vehicle. |
