What Guests Are Saying

Horseshoe Campground is praised for its beautiful setting, small size, and quiet atmosphere, making it a favorite for families and nature lovers. Many enjoyed the nearby hiking trails and found their camping experiences overall positive, despite some issues with mosquitoes and the occasional noisy neighbor. However, the absence of camp hosts during peak times raised concerns about site reservations and cleanliness of facilities.

We had a great time. Love the small size. Hosts left us alone which was fine with us! We fit 3 families on 2 spots. It was great.

Nice campground. Not much privacy at campsite 10 but that was to be expected. Toilets, dumpster, water pump, firewood on site.

The campsite we reserved was very small and would not work for us at all. Fortunately, we found the host and were able to move to a lovely spot. It was spot #19 and it was quiet, surrounded by trees but with a view looking out to a beautiful open meadow. It was a 5.5 mile drive in on a dirt road, but well worth the drive.

Great experience and nice host. Only downfall was not the campground, but the people next to us using their generator waaaay too much.

There was no camp host for the first time since we have been camping there. The toilets were filthy and there was a party going on late into the night. Other than that, it it is a great place to stay.

We really enjoyed this campground although the road to get to it is very rough.

Location was great! For people traveling, there is about a 2 mile drive where it’s very rocky, we drove slow and made it up fine.

This is one of my favorite campgrounds for car camping. Not sure what happened but my last time here, there was no camp host present and the reservations had not been updated on the campsites. This resulted in someone taking my site that I booked a few months in advance. It wasn't their fault as they had no way of knowing so I wasn't about to ask them to leave, though they did not really make the offer, lol. Really sucked getting there in the evening on Friday to find out we didn't have a place to camp and driving in the dark to find an alternative. This is a great campground but was I very disappointed that my reservation was not honored. Hopefully when I book again next year, this will not be an issue again.
