Site is separate from the other sites - only neighbor is site 22, across from the restroom, direct paths to the river.

The site itself was awesome and we enjoyed the hike up overlooking the reservoir and entire region. Great recommendation by the site host. Unfortunately we had some super loud partying neighbors out last couple of nights. A lot of swearing and crazy loud music. The camp host did speak to them and they quieted down the first night by 10:00. The second night they were rowdy much later. The camp itself is great and in a beautiful location. You can't control who will end up camping nearby. Aside from that our experience was good. The canyon is stunning and the Fall colors were amazing.

Other than the rough road conditions (8 miles of nasty washboard), we loved the campground (Spillway) itself. For those that are planning to camp out with a travel trailer or RV make sure everything is well tied down Access to the Platte River was very close. The fishing was great. All of the other campers were polite, friendly, and quiet. We will go there again.

We camp at Spillway at least once each summer. The views are spectacular, the campground is kept clean and the host is awesome. Until we found this tucked away site we weren't to thrilled with eleven mile reservoir area. All along the spillway is breathtaking views especially in late September, the colors are amazing.
