Very nice and clean campground. Close to water , so much to do paddle board, kayaking, hiking. Close to town with a lot of good restaurants.

Campsites were WAY too close together. Our site was much, much, much farther from the lake than the map depicted. So disappointed we didn't even stay. Drove on and picked up a much nicer first-come first-serve site near Woodland Park.

Camp host was very friendly on arrival. We had a great spot near the lake and enjoyed smores from our fire pit. Would definitely recommend this site for families with kids.

From Leadville, Colorado, drive west on County Road 4 about 3.5 miles, turn right on County Road 9C and follow signs to Baby Doe Campground.

Utilities
- Water will not be available at the campground in 2026; please bring your own.
- There are no hookups available at this campground.
Vehicles & parking
- Each campsite reservation includes two vehicles; additional vehicles incur a fee of $11.00 per night.
- OHVs, ATVs, and dirt bikes are prohibited in the campground.
Site capacity
- A maximum of 8 people can occupy one campsite.
- Each site can accommodate a maximum of 2 tents or 1 RV and 2 tents.
Pets
- All dogs must be leashed at all times, including service and therapy dogs.
Safety & rules
- Generators cannot be operated after designated hours.
- The use of firearms and fireworks is prohibited.
- Caution is advised when traveling to this high elevation facility.
Wildlife & food storage
- Do not leave food unattended at your site; it should be locked inside your vehicle or RV to avoid attracting bears.

- To prevent the spread of pests, obtain firewood locally and burn it on-site.
